Internet : Web Designer Wanted
Posted by Phil Steinmeyer on 2005/6/2 23:53:27

I'm looking for a freelance web designer to develop the site for my upcoming game company. Something fairly small - main page, a template for a standard 'games' page, and 4 or 5 of the other usual suspects (About Us, FAQ, etc). More or less like a simpler version of the site www.mumbojumbo.com

That said, I'd like the site to look cool, and I need someone who can not only assemble the site in Dreamweaver or whatever, but also create the graphics for the site. A little Flash wizz-bang would be nice, but not necessary.

E-mail me links to a couple of sites you've done, and an idea of your prices.

Check out Squarespace ( www.squarespace.com ). It pretty much allows anyone to create a pretty decent site instead of doing it by hand. Just change the colors slightly and pop in a graphical banner of your choice and you've got a simple but professional looking site. I used to hand code sites for the gaming industry but kept looking for a way for technology to empower me in my work. Squarespace definitely is a step in that direction (and they even have a 30 day free trial). Make sure you check out all the site feedback and statistics reports they give you as well. It's pretty amazing considering the price.
