Wider Bonnie’s Bookstore distribution

Bonnie has been added to AOL and Shockwave, among others. I believe Real, Yahoo and Big Fish will add it in January.

Sites carrying Bonnie’s Bookstore:

Bigger Sites
AOL
MSN Games
Pogo
PopCap
Shockwave

Small/Medium Sites
DA Games (UK/Euro friendly)
GameDemo
Games2Download
TryGames

By the way, they’re all charging the same basic price of $19.95 (plus or minus a nickel), so there’s no point, for now, in price shopping. All sites let you try it for 60 minutes for free.

While they all charge the same basic $19.95 price, Big Fish has an interesting deal that looks very tempting … 5 games for $49.95. (Along with some other higher-quantity deals.)

I was considering buying a couple of games, so at this price, I can get 3 more for just 10 bucks extra. Not bad. Now I just wonder if other game portals will feel like they have to follow suit with similar deals.

Actually, Bonnie’s Bookstore is not supposed to be out on Big Fish just yet (you’ll notice there’s no link to it from the main page).

Yes, the Big Fish packs can be a good deal if the games you want are included in the offer. Usually though, the newest releases aren’t on that list. It’s sort of like the BMG/Columbia House record deals – good for picking up a lot of games at a good price, but with somewhat limited selection.

Phil, when and where will Mac users be able to try, buy and play the game?

    Thanks!

The Mac version should be up on PopCap’s site (and probably others) in January. The Mac version is basically done, but PopCap wants to put up a whole bunch of new Mac stuff at once (sort of a re-vamp of their Mac offerings).

Trygames sells it for 16.99 $ according to the website (or maybe they don’t include some taxes in their prices).

Phil, I just saw that Bonnie’s Bookstore is on Big Fish, and even though it’s a new game, it’s part of the deal I mentioned above for $9.99. (Or less.) Maybe you didn’t check it out, since you mentioned something about those kind of deals including only a “limited selection” of games … actually it seems like there are quite a lot of games available for this deal, both new and old.
